DAWSON COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Amy Gibson has been identified as the woman shot dead in a Dawsonville parking lot Monday night.
Jeremy Wade Gibson is accused of fatally shooting his wife in front of their young children while in the parking lot of a north Georgia fire station Monday night.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Dawson County Fire Station on Dawson Forest Road West in Dawsonville on Monday.
Police say, Amy Alexandria Gibson was being pursued in a vehicle by her husband when she pulled into the parking lot of the fire station. At some point thereafter, 44-year-old Jeremy Wade Gibson produced a weapon and shot Gibson.
She was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
The shooting was tragically witnessed by the couple’s 8 year-old and 5 year-old children.
A firefighter, his wife and their two young children were also witnesses to the shooting, reports KRTV.
It’s unclear if the couple had a history of violence and police have yet to release a motive in the shooting.
Jeremy Gibson was taken into custody. Charges are pending.
