FARMINGHAM, MA. (THECOUNT) — Evan Maillet, of Holliston, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle versus SUV crash in Framingham on Tuesday night, according to officials.

Maillet, 21, was operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he crashed around 4 p.m., officials said.

Boston 25 News reports a witness saw Maillet’s motorcycle heading west on Beaver Street at a high rate of speed before colliding with an SUV that was performing a left hand turn.

“The injured rider was on the lawn of a house approximately 20 to 30 feet from bike,” Hayes said. “His helmet was another 20 feet past that,” source.

Maillet was pronounced dead at an area hospital at about 6:30 p.m., according to BostonGlobe.

The driver of the Ford Ranger SUV remained at the scene and fully cooperated with officials.

The investigation is ongoing, officials said.

No one was cited at the scene and no charges have been filed as of Wednesday afternoon.

According to social media, Maillet was originally from Ashland, Massachusetts.
