HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO. (THECOUNT) — A “juvenile female” has been identified as the second suspect in a Wednesday morning shooting at STEM School Highland Ranch, in Colorado.
The second suspect is reportedly a juvenile female who “identifies as a male,” according to KFI.

The shooting left one student dead and eight others wounded, authorities said. Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said Devon Erickson, 18, and the unnamed girl opened fire in two classrooms Tuesday at STEM School Highland Ranch, igniting chaos as students ran for cover and hid in closets and under desks, reports NewsCenterMaine.
(ORIGINAL INFORMATION) Shots have been fired at STEM School Highlands Ranch at South Ridgeline Boulevard and Plaza Drive, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said they believe two have been injured and are “still getting information,” reports 9News.
The STEM School Highlands Ranch, a K-12 school, is on lockdown and all other schools in the area are on lockout.
