A judge sentenced the 28-year-old rapper to 240 days in jail as well as 265 days’ worth of community service. He’s reportedly been granted 40 days of time served behind bars, reports TMZ.

The legal punishment Soulja currently faces comes after a judge determined that he violated his probation terms related to a 2016 case where police found a weapon in his home. After authorities found ammunition in Soulja’s California home this past February, Soulja was arrested for probation violation on March 15. He was released the same day, reports XXLMAG.

After an April 19 hearing for the case, a judge determined that Soulja had falsified evidence meant to indicate that he’d completed his required community service for his 2016 case. He’s been held in jail without bond since.

Soulja Boy’s camp has yet to comment.

Soulja Boy was taken into custody April 19 while appearing at his own court hearing after a judge informed him he had failed to complete his court-ordered community service. He is being held on a no-bail order. And that’s not all.

DeAndre Cortez Way, 28, violated the conditions of his probation in several ways including conspiring to falsify evidence that the work had been completed, according to officials.

TMZ is reporting, Soulja walked into an L.A. courtroom Thursday for his hearing and was taken into custody at the end. But, the big no-no came during a raid at Soulja’s San Fernando Valley home in February. TMZ broke the story … police went to his house to investigate a claim by one of his ex-girlfriends that Soulja had tied her up and held her captive in his garage, reports TMZ.

The rapper’s probation forbid him from possessing ammunition which was discovered during a recent raid of his residence.

Way was placed on probation for a weapons case that dates back to 2014.
