TEXAS CITY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Three Texas City cadets were injured when a gun accidentally discharged at the police academy on Thursday night.
The shooting occurred at the College of the Mainland, according to officials.

All three cadets were transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening gunshot injuries.
Investigators said two cadets were shot in the leg, and a third cadet was injured by shrapnel, reports ABC13.
It is unclear what led up to the accidental shooting.
