ASHEBORO, NC. (THECOUNT) — Darrin Bullins, of Asheboro, North Carolina, has been identified as the pedestrian struck in fatal Friday night vehicle collision.
Bullins, 28, was killed while attempting to cross Highway 64 near Loflin Pond Road around 9:19 p.m. Friday.

Officials were called to Highway 64 near Loflin Pond Road around 9:19 p.m., where a man identified as Darrin Bullins, of Asheboro, was hit and killed while trying to cross U.S. 64. Authorities say a silver car and a Nissan passenger car both hit Bullins. The driver did not stay at the scene, but returned and has been charged, according to investigators, reports WXII12.
Troopers say a 911 call about a suspicious vehicle on Oakland Ave fit the description of a silver vehicle with front end damage led them to a silver 2005 Chrysler 300. It was determined it is the suspect’s car, according to State Highway Patrol.
The investigation is still ongoing.
No further information on the deadly incident was provided by officials.
