According to court records, the mother noticed discharge in her child’s diaper and took her to a local hospital for treatment. The doctor confirmed that the three-year-old was infected with the STDs. Officials were notified and police opened an investigation.
Following an interview with the mother, an arrest warrant was issued for Perkins.
The affidavit also notes Perkins has the same STDs that the girl was found to have contracted, reports CHRON.
During a subsequent polygraph test, Perkins allegedly admitted to raping the girl in early 2019 while he was “doing drugs,” saying he assaulted the girl at his apartment while her mother was at work.
The child’s current condition was not provided.
