This hurts my heart…please keep my uncle,cousins and their children, my dad and his siblings in your prayers… I have a million childhood memories of growing up on the farm at Hicks (as we called him) and in thousands of those memories they are full of Bonnie,Boy,Tracy, and William aka Winumm ( my momma never could say his name right) and many other cousins .Those were the best of times! We teased Bonnie about Rick Flair who she loved and Willie Nelson (aka puke face per Bonnie)who she didn’t like! Sleigh riding down the big hill (even though today it doesn’t look so big) ,looking through the junk cars as they came into the junkyard and the thousands of nights of the men playing poker,us kids playing outside and the women..i don’t remember what they were doing..The huge family reunions, Christmas at my Granny Gordon’s house…those were the best of times! As all of our families grew by leaps and bounds as each of us went on doing our own thing…we didn’t see each other as much as we should have …but in the end we are all still family.My aunt Bonnie will be missed greatly…she loved Boy, her kids and her grandbabies they were her pride and joy! I hate the way the news reported about this fire because the person she was got lost in the words they reported…it didn’t matter what she had or didn’t have in her home the point is my uncle lost his wife,my cousins lost there mother, her grand children lost their grandmother, dad and his siblings lost another sister and the rest of us lost an aunt..that’s what should’ve been reported… Rip Bonnie…give my momma and Linda Sue a hug for me…until we see you again”
