CLAY COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Karen Scott, of Bowie, Texas, Clifford Brooks, of Stafford, Texas and Jose Garza, whose age and residency were not provided, have been identified as the three killed in a crash on the Clay and Montague County line, Tuesday morning.

Scott, 49, Brooks, 69, and Garza all died following a two-vehicle TX-59 crash in Bowie about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Two SUV vehicles were traveling on TX-59 near Frog Holler Road, when for unknown reasons, they collided head-on.

In all, five people were involved in the violent crash.

Scott, Brooks, and Garza were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries.

An injured victim was flown to Fort Worth for treatment and the other injured individual was transported to a Bowie hospital. Both suffered serious injuries.

The current status of the those injured is unknown at this time.

DPS is investigating the collision, reports NewsChannel6Now.
