BEXAR COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Lara Logan is an Emmy-winning former CBS, Newser and 60 Minutes war-zone correspondent.
Logan, 47, made headlines after recently claiming that mainstream news media outlets are “mostly liberal,” and that right-wing outlets are a good way to learn information from “the other side.”

While on the job in Egypt in 2011, Logan was brutally attacked and repeatedly raped by a mob of men.
In 2012, Logan was diagnosed and successfully treated for breast cancer.
In 2013, Logan’s “60 Minutes” report about the attack on Benghazi was deemed inaccurate, a source discredited. After issuing an apology, Logan was ordered to take a leave of absence, according to reporting by MySanAntonio.
Originally from South Africa, the journalist is the mother-of-two and is married to Joe Burkett, a retired Army master sergeant.
The couple and their children moved from the East Coast to picturesque Fredericksburg, Texas, about five years ago.
These days, Logan is appearing as a guest on conservatives news broadcasts, such as, Sean Hannity and Fox & Friends.
