ABILENE, TX. (THECOUNT) — Adrian Jasso, of Abilene, Texas, has been identified as the victim shot in the head while at MC Sports Bar and Taqueria in Abilene, Texas early Sunday morning.

Jasso, 27, was shot and killed around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the troubled nightspot, located at, 4025 N 1st St, Abilene, TX, on Sunday.

Police responded to calls of a large fight at the bar and subsequent shots fired.

Upon arrival, Jasso was found suffering from a head wound.

Jasso was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Police took four persons of persons of interest into custody at that location, including the alleged shooter from the bar, according to KTXS.

One of those individuals was later transported from the Taylor County Law Enforcement Center to Hendrick Medical Center.

The death marks the first homicide of 2019.

MC Sports Bar and Taqueria has been the scene of other fatal events, according to KTXS.
