CLEVELAND, OH. (THECOUNT) — Cornelius L. Pames Jr. has been identified as the suspect arrested Wednesday in the murder of 94-year-old, Eusebia Garcia, of Cleveland, Ohio, Slavic Village.
Pames, 25, was arrested in the brutal beating death of Garcia in a Gertrude Avenue home invasion that also injured her 74-year-old daughter.

Pames, who was recently released from prison after serving time for rape, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and felonious assault, appeared in court Thursday and pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder charges. The judge issued $1 million bond, reports FOX8.
According to records, Pames dislodged a window air conditioner to gain access to Garcia’s home. Once inside, he violently assaulted the women who had been sleeping. He then ransacked the house, stealing electronics, cash and a coin collection.
Pames was assigned a public defender and will appear in court again Feb. 1, reported FOX8.
Garcia was a mother of six, grandmother to 25, great-grandmother to 20 and a great-great-grandmother to one.
