LANSING, MI. (THECOUNT) — Gregory Murray, from Lansing, Michigan, has been identified as the victim found shot dead in a Lansing parking lot Wednesday afternoon.

Murray, 30, was found dead in a parking lot near a Kroger on South Washington Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said Thursday that they are still seeking a suspect and that the shooting was not a random act of violence. Authorities did not elaborate.

Police responded to a call around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and were directed to the apartment’s back parking lot for a possible gunshot. When they got there, they saw a man lying on the ground. They tried life-saving techniques but were unsuccessful. source

Murray was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
