LIBERTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Janice Minson, of Verona Island, Maine, and youth, Colby Adams, of Hope, Maine, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal two-vehicle crash on a Liberty roadway Wednesday evening.
Maine State Police said, Minson, 64, was operating a Pontiac Vibe on Maine 3, in Liberty, ME, around 5:30 p.m, when for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines and struck a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the pickup truck has been identified as 20-year-old Evan West, of Liberty.
Following the crash, West was transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.
A passenger in the truck, 9-year-old Adams, was killed instantly in the crash, according to officials.
A second 15-year-old passenger in the truck was seriously injured. He is expected to survive, according to doctors.
Minson was transported to Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
Police identified the victims as 64-year-old Janice Minson, of Verona Island, and 9-year-old Colby Adams, of Hope. Troopers said Minson was driving a car that crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming pickup around 5:30 p.m. source
