JACKSON COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Brooklyn E. Oliver, of Ocean Springs, has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 on Saturday.

Oliver, 23, was operating a white 2002 Ford Explorer on I-10, when for unknown reasons, she exited the roadway, where the vehicle then rolled over several times.

She was ejected from the vehicle during the violent crash.

Oliver was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the wreck, according to authorities.

A crash report noted Oliver was not wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol nor drugs were mentioned as factors in the collision.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Chase Elkins identified the victim as Brooklyn E. Oliver, 23, of Ocean Springs. Elkins confirmed troopers were working the scene in the area of mile marker 55 around 11:35 a.m. Elkins said a white 2002 Ford Explorer was traveling east when Oliver lost control and went into the median, where it rolled several times.
