LANDOVER HILLS, Md. (THECOUNT) — Jhonna Nicole Caballero, of Crofton, MD, has been identified as the Good Samaritan killed early Sunday morning after she stopped to help a driver who was involved in a crash in Prince George’s County.
According to Maryland State Police, Caballero, 23, was struck and killed by another vehicle along eastbound Route 50 near Route 410 just before 4 a.m., after she pulled over and exited her vehicle in an attempt to render aid to a car crash victim.

Caballero reportedly stopped to help the driver of a silver Pontiac Grand Am that had lost control of the their vehicle and struck a wall. Moments after she exited her vehicle, she was tragically struck by an Infiniti G37.
The driver who struck the young woman may have been under the influence of alcohol, according to authorities.
Caballero was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
Troopers responded to the crash site and the 37-year-old driver of the Infiniti was arrested. The Springdale, Md. man was not identified as he’s awaiting charges. Police believe he may have been driving under the influence. source
