JOLIET, IL. (THECOUNT) — Badly decomposed remains discovered during the search are believed to belong to missing Joliet mother, Ashley Tucker.
Tucker, 24, was last seen leaving a party on Tamarack Drive, in Joliet, IL, Oct. 13 and was on her way home, Joliet authorities said.

An acquaintance of Tucker’s, wanted sex offender Peter Zabala, 42, was identified by police as a “person of interest” in the young woman’s disappearance. source
Zabala was apprehended and jailed Monday on a charge of violating the Sex Offender Registration Act.
He is being held without bond.
