DEKALB COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Alisha Watkins-Stephens, the woman shot along with her husband and one other while at a Lithonia, GA, Popeyes restaurant earlier this week, has died in the hospital.
Family members say, Watkins-Stephens died in the hospital after being shot at a fast food eatery just two weeks after her wedding. Her sister said following the shooting that her sister was, “at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

The incident happened at a Popeyes restaurant located at, 3001 Panola Rd, Lithonia, GA, on Monday around 9 p.m., according to DeKalb County officials.
DeKalb police said three people were victims of gunfire and were all initially listed in critical condition. Watkins-Stephens’ husband is still in the hospital being treated for gunshot wounds. His updated condition was not provided.
Police confirmed that Watkins-Stephens died around 11:30 p.m.

The investigation in the case is ongoing, according to authorities.
