LOUISA COUNTY, VA, (THECOUNT) — Mary Elizabeth Carter, has been identified as the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in Louisa County Sunday.
Carter, 19, was traveling southbound on Route 605, when for unknown reasons, crossed center lines and struck another vehicle, driven by Langston Quarles, 67, head-on, the trooper’s investigation noted.

Virginia state police responded to a crash at Route 605, 0.7 miles north of Route 33.
Quarles was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Carter was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
