WELLFLEET, MA. (THECOUNT) — Arthur Medici, of Revere, died after sustaining injuries following a shark attack in the waters off Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet at around noon, Wellfleet Police Lt. Michael Hurley said.
Police are reporting that Medici, 26, of Revere, was killed in a shark attack while visiting Cape Cod in Massachusetts.

The man was pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
State police and the Cape Cod District Attorney’s office are handling the investigation.

At approximately 12:30 pm on Saturday, September 14, a person was allegedly bite by a shark 300 yards south of Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet. The patient is being transported to Cape Cod Hospital via ambulance. US park rangers and Wellfleet Police are investigating.
