ZANESVILLE, OH. (THECOUNT) — Ohio preschool employee, Derek Shaffer, is facing charges after he allegedly raped a child under 10 years old, at the Careytown School, located at 527 Pershing Rd, Zanesville, OH.
Shaffer, 28, was taken in custody after Zanesville Police say they received a complaint about a possible sexual assault that happened at the preschool.

The complaint alleged 28-year-old Derek Shaffer sexually assaulted a child under 10. After investigation, Shaffer was charged with rape. source
Shaffer was arrested Thursday afternoon at his residence located on Whitman Avenue, in Zanesville.
Shaffer is being held on a $1 million bond.
