WICHITA, KS. (THECOUNT) The death of Wichita woman, Emily Glass, has been ruled a suicide, her autopsy report says. Official say, notes of suicidal intent and other evidence found at the scene confirmed the cause of death as suicide, the report noted.
Glass, 27, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the forehead, the report said. Her death comes two weeks after she led a private investigator to the body of 5-year-old Lucas Hernandez.

Glass was a live-in girlfriend who cared for the Wichita boy while his father was out of town working. Wichita police are still investigating Lucas’ death and Glass’ death. Police have said Glass’ body was found with a gun near her feet and that her death was reported as a suicide. Early June 8, Glass’ boyfriend, Jonathan Hernandez, went to the rental house where she was living. It is the same South Edgemoor house from which she had reported Lucas missing on Feb. 17. source
Hernandez found Glass on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound to the head and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle between her legs, the report says.
The autopsy report, filed in Sedgwick County District Court on Tuesday, said that Glass’ body tested positive for marijuana use but negative for alcohol and other drugs.
Her gunshot wound was “midline of the forehead,” and the path of the bullet was front to back, the report said.
The report noted, Glass also had “scars consistent with remote self-injury/cutting on the left forearm.”
