CHAPEL HILL, NC (THECOUNT) — A pair of armed thugs were arrested and charged with robbery after entering a Chapel Hill Walmart Supercenter and filling up a shopping cart primarily with toilet paper, beer, meat and pork skins.

Deputies say, Rico Lashawn Moses, 42,and Terry Lamont Shoffner, 58, both of Chapel Hill, robbed a Walmart at gunpoint taking only the merchandize aforementioned.

It all stated when the suspects filled a shopping cart with numerous items and exited the story without paying.

A store employee then attempted to then stop the men when one suspect displayed a firearm and threatened to shoot the employee.

The suspects departed the store and began removing items from the cart to a vehicle when a second Walmart employee again approached them in the parking lot. The suspects again displayed handguns in a threatening manner.

The employee smartly backed off and the suspects fled the scene.

Both suspects are charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, communicating threats, and misdemeanor larceny. In addition, Moses is also charged with a second count of communicating threats, assault on a female, felony possession of a firearm by felon, and felony going armed to the terror of the people. source

Moses was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on May 24th and assigned a $100,000.00 secured bond.

Shoffner was arrested on June 4 and assigned a $5,700.00 secured bond.

Both are scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 16.
