Phoenix police have arrested Dwight Miles, 36, in the April 17, shooting death of his pregnant girlfriend, Chelsee Dennis. She was 29.
The pregnant woman was found slumped over the wheel of her vehicle just before 2 p.m. near 7th Street and Northern, according to police. in north Phoenix.

Dennis’ baby was delivered at the hospital. As of Wednesday morning, police said the newborn was unstable and in critical condition. source
A five-year-old child in the back seat of the car was uninjured in the incident, police say.
Dennis’ boyfriend fled the scene, but was later found and arrested for homicide, according to police. He has been identified as 36-year-old Dwight A. Miles.
Police also recovered a handgun when they took Miles into custody.
