TV host Steve Wilkos has been charged with driving under the influence following a car crash that took place last month. At the time of the crash, the host told members of the media that he was fumbling for his glasses and that he never drinks or does drugs.
Wilkos, once known for his gig on the Jerry Springer show, crashed his vehicle into several poles and a tree on West Avenue in Darien on January 21, according to police. The crash was discovered by a patrolling officer who then detected the strong smell of alcohol.
