State police confirmed 18-year-old Patrick County resident, Austin Fain, was the man killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Route 58 in Henry County, VA., early Friday morning.

The fatal single vehicle crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. near U.S. 58 and Country Road 692 in Ridgeway.

State police say Stuart resident Fain was driving a 2001 Mazda Protégé when he ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree.

Fain was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene, according to state police. State police say speed was a factor. source

“Austin Lawrence Fain, 18, of Patrick Springs, VA died on Friday, October 27, 2017.
He was born on May 21, 1999, to Fonda Fain and Delbert Fain. He is preceded in death by his father; Delbert Fain, one sister; Ashley Marie Martin, two grandmothers; Hattie Turman and Florence Fain, two grandfather; Lawrence O’dell Fain, Hubert Turman.`

He was of the Baptist faith and worked at Moore Hardwood Flooring in Eden, NC . He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with friends and helping everyone.

Surviving are his mother; Fonda Fain and step-dad Daniel Moore of the home. one sister; Jamie Fain Ayers of Henry County, VA, special sister; Katie Moore Shelton of Eden, NC and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Norris Funeral Services Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Reggie Steele officiating. Burial will be at Hills Grove Baptist Church in Claudville, VA.

The family will receive from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday October 30, 2017 at Norris Funeral Services Chapel and other times at the home of Fonda Fain in Eden, NC and at the Fain residence in Claudeville, VA.
