Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted Friday that he was at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport when a shooting took place that left at least one dead and multiple people injured.
“I’m at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Shots have been fired. Everyone is running,” Fleischer tweeted at 12:57 p.m. Reports say, the shooter has been apprehended.

Throngs of people can be seen on the tarmac at the airport, apparently evacuated from the inside, live images from CNN show. Hundreds of people have tweeted about the incident; one image showed a man apparently bleeding on the sidewalk. Several news outlets in Miami are reporting multiple people have been shot and a person has been detained. h/t pix11
