It may be a small world after all, but small has nothing to do with the huge price of admission to Disneyland these days.

A dry ice bomb caused the evacuation of one of Disneyland's attractions in Anaheim, California

The got to see destination for kids, aka, “happiest place on earth,” just announced the one-day adult ticket jumped to $92, while a child’s ticket for ages 3 to 9 went up to $86. The same tickets at Florida’s Magic Kingdom park jumped to $95 for adults and $89 for kids, ages 3 to 9. And that’s not all! The cost of parking of their asphalt went up $1 a day at both parks.

One parent wrote, “I know Disney has a lot to offer, but the annual price increases will soon price the average family out of a Disney Vacation. Hope they can review budgets and find a way to keep it somewhat reasonable. At $95 a day per person a family of 4 is already priced out.”One CBS Los Angeles local reader had something to say about the cost spikes: “Its not worth it considering the amount of time you spend waiting in lines and the added cost of food, drinks and parking. I guess overpaid CEO Bob Iger needs more $$$millions$$$ in yearly bonus money. He was paid $40,200,000 in 2012.”

So I guess prices increases are an annual thing now? They happened in August 2010, June 2011 and May 2012. The company’s bottom line is up whopping 73 percent from the same time last year so they are doing this simply for a cash grab?
