A claim on social media via a satirical website that hundreds of people had become sickened and died after eating the Patti LaBelle brand Potato Pie are false.

Heroin Epidemic Forces School Nurses To Stock Antidote

The heroin epidemic is so out of control among teenagers that the nation’s schools have stocked a fast-acting overdose antidote to be administered by nurses and teachers in case of emergency.

School nurses are keeping the drug naloxone on hand as an essential part of their first-aid kits. If a student exhibit signs of heroin overdose they are administered naloxone via syringe or a nasal spray. The desired effect is to get an overdose patient breathing again.

Brain Eating Amoeba Found In Louisiana WATER SUPPLY

Health officials have confirmed the presence of the Naegleria fowleri amoeba in an area of Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, officials have confirmed.

Sources say Travers Mackel the so-called “brain-eating amoeba” was detected in the Montegut area.

Bean Sprouts Sicken At Least 60 From Ohio To Vermont

10 states on the East Coast have been affected by a salmonella outbreak that appears to be related to bean sprouts produced in Brooklyn, New York.

According to the CDC, at least 63 people in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont have been stricken with salmonella, many of those hospitalized.

A student at Haynes Middle School has died after preliminary test prove he had the EV-D68 virus.

According to Metro Nashville Public Schools: “The Health Department has not received a confirmation yet because specific testing is pending,” a press release said.

League City, Texas, officials are currently housing a patient who has Ebola symptoms and made recent trip to Africa.

The patient mandated a precautionary lockdown of an emergency clinic as a medical worker said a male patient who had recently traveled from Africa was at the facility and “exhibiting symptoms that could be consistent with Ebola.”

A Chicago hospital has admitted two people pulled off a plane arriving at O’Hare from Liberia..

The passengers exhibited Ebola-like symptoms on separate flights Tuesday. One of the travelers is a child originating from Liberia.
