SAN SABA COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Richard Blair Harris, of Brownwood, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Friday double-fatal vehicle crash in San Saba County.
Harris, 65, was killed along with 52-year-old Eugenio Botello Perez, of San Saba, Friday evening.
According to reports, Harris was operating a Dodge Ram pickup towing a trailer on FM-45 near Richland Springs, when for unknown reasons, a Chevrolet pickup operated by Perez, crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 4 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with Harris’ Dodge.
Both drivers were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the wreck.
A 23-year-old passenger in the Dodge was injured and treated at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
