CA Man, Wife & GF Arrested In Sexual Abuse Of GF’s Young Daughter

FRESNO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Brent Cox, of Fresno, California, has been identified as the suspect arrested along with his wife, Jill Cox, and the couple’s “girlfriend,” Tammy Renia Schreiner, in connection to the sexual abuse of Schreiner 12-year-old daughter.

Brent Cox, 41, was arrested Wednesday at his job at Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company after being accused of sexually abusing the 12-year-old girl. The next day, deputies arrested Jill Cox, and girlfriend, Tammy Schreiner, the mother of the victim.

The women were arrested at a home on E Princeton Ave. near Blackstone and Shields in Fresno.

The Sheriff’s Office said the home was filled with all sorts of “odd things” such as caskets and other Halloween like related items.

Police say all three adults claim to be in an open sexual relationship.

During an investigation, detectives say they found evidence confirming Schreiner’s daughter had been sexually assaulted by Cox many times over the course of several months. According to the sheriff’s office, both Jill and Schreiner were charged with conspiracy to commit ongoing sexual acts against a child.

Cox was booked into the Fresno County Jail and faces multiple felony charges related to sexual assault of a minor and intimidating or dissuading a victim. He is not eligible for bail.

It was learned that Jill Cox had been allowed to bail out of jail.

The mother of the child remains in custody as of Saturday morning.

“In this case that’s exactly what was happening with these females,” said Lt. Pursell, “They knowingly participated and they knowingly engaged in this,” said Fresno County Sheriff’s Lt. Brandon Pursell.

“The victims’ mother is aware of it, she is in custody,” said Lt. Pursell.

“We have a lot of forensic evidence,” said Lt. Pursell, “We do have evidence that is photographic, we have video evidence that was taken by our suspects.”

The case remains under investigation.
