Quick summary of Scientology
Scientology was founded in 1952 by Science Fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard who wanted to start a religion to make money. It is an offshoot to a method of psychotherapy he concocted from various sources which he named “Dianetics”. Dianetics is a form of regression therapy, which is done to weaken one’s mind, and another gains control.

It was in 1954 when some of Hubbard’s followers set up the first Scientology church, which was named the Church of Scientology of California. The church grew from there, and many more were built internationally…

People who join the church are mind controlled by the Scientology masters, and then, became fearful and scared of the outside world. They are then dependent on the church.

It is said that there are many status levels a member can climb in the church, and thee who has more money and/or fame, can get to the top faster.

So-called ‘elite’ “Sea Org” members are Scientology’s most devoted followers: they sign a billion-year pledge, vow not to have children and live and work communally. They hold positions of authority within the international church, from the public relations team to the top leadership, lower-ranking members make up much of the work force. But lawsuits filed by former Sea Org members, allege the workers are a little more than slave laborers, forced to work 100-hour weeks for pennies and threatened with manual labor if they cause trouble.

A character named “Xenu”, who is only revealed to Scientology members who have contributed large amounts of money, is said to be all made up by Hubbard, and was originally a fictionally character in one of his earlier Sci-Fi stories. When church members are let in on the sacred story about Xenu, they are required to sign a confidentiality agreement to never tell a soul about the story.

The story of Xenu is rumored to be about the dictator of the “Galactic Confederacy” who 75 million years ago, brought billions of his people to Earth in a DC-8-like spacecraft, stacked them around volcanoes and killed them using hydrogen bombs. Official Scientology scriptures say that the essences of these many people remained, and that they form around people in modern times, causing them spiritual harm.

If this doesn’t sound weird enough, the church has what’s called “Minders,” who are human watchdogs that are sent with Scientology members who leave the campus for a doctor’s appointment or something similar. Minders are also said to be the people who harass, stalk and prey upon church members who try to leave the church for good.

A man named David Miscavige, who became a Scientologist at 12, later became Hubbard’s assistant while Hubbard ran the church. Hubbard passed in 1986, and Miscavige took over as the leader of the church. Miscavige is the Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center. He is the Sole leader of CoS. As of now, he only goes to Sea Org openings, Anniversaries and other big CoS events.

I’m going to explain the celebrity bloodline connection, and ‘who’ got ‘who’ into the church:

ACTOR GIOVANNI RIBISI BORN INTO CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY:
Giovanni’s Father Albert Anthony Ribisi was a musician. He was a Sea Org member and officer at the Celebrity Center complex in L.A. Giovanni’s Mother Gay Ribisi, is a former actress turned talent agent. She is was given the label “a top recruiter” for CoS. Giovanni and his twin sister Marissa, were then born apparently at the Celebrity Center.

ACTOR JASON LEE’S MANAGER IS GAY RIBISI:
Jason Lee says that he started studying Scientology years before he became an actor. Lee became an actor in 1991, after he met the Ribisi family. Gay Ribisi became his manager and Jason became a Scientologist. Lee dated Giovanni’s sister Marissa for about 4 years. He is now married to Ceren Alkac, who doesn’t seem to be involved in Scientology.

MUSICIAN “BECK” BECAME A CoS MEMBER AFTER HE MARRIED GIOVANNI’S TWIN SISTER MARISSA RIBISI:
Musician ‘Beck’, is a Scientologist thanks to the Ribisi family as well. Beck married Giovanni’s sister Marissa, who was born into Scientology.

ELVIS’ FORMER WIFE PRISCILLA PRESLEY AND DAUGHTER LISA MARIE PRESLEY:
Priscilla Presley, who was married to Elvis, joined Scientology sometime after Elvis’ death. Her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley then became a member of the church as well. It is said that Lisa does NOT attend CoS events, but she still helps with CoS charities. Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter Riley, who she had with ex-husband Danny Keough, took courses for 5 years, starting back in 1999.

ACTOR DANNY MASTERSON (“THAT 70’S SHOW”) WAS BORN INTO THE CoS:
Danny and his brother Chris were born into the church. Danny’s parents, Peter and Carol Masterson were Scientologists first. Peter was said to be a “WISE” member of the church.

Chris was once in a serious relationship and lived with “That 70’s Show” actress Laura Prepon. Since their split a few years ago, Prepon appears to be an ‘inactive’ member.

ACTOR TOM CRUISE BECAME A CoS MEMBER AROUND THE TIME TOP GUN CAME OUT:
Cruise married actress and Scientology member Mimi Rogers back in May 9, 1987, which was a year after Top Gun hit theaters. Rogers is generally believed to have introduced Cruise to Scientology. But some think it also could have been the former Don Simpson, who produced Top Gun which came out in 1986. Cruise and Rogers divorced on February 4, 1990.

Cruise married Nicole Kidman right after his first divorce, and she became a member of church. It is unknown how involved she became, but she left the church sometime around their divorce.

Cruise reached a super level as a Scientologist, deeming him “Clear,” which means he got access to the “Xenu” information, plus he obtained other high level permissions.

Cruise married Katie Holmes in 2006, just after having their child Suri together. Holmes became involved in the church through Tom, but did not attend CoS events without him. Holmes filed divorce with Cruise on June 28, 2012 in NYC, and requested sole custody of their daughter Suri. Some say that her disbelief in Scientology plus the “Minders” who followed her around, could have been their deal breaker, and that’s why she filed.

Cruise is still a member of the CoS, but he does not attend big church events. He has made videos for the church, and is said to be a face of the church- bringing positive publicity to it as well.

ACTRESS AND SINGER JULIETTE LEWIS BORN INTO THE CoS:
Juliette’s father, actor Geoffrey Lewis, who is one of the first celeb Scientologists, married Glenis Batley (aka Glenis Kitty Duggan), and had Juliette Lewis, who is one of 10 siblings. Thanks to her parents, Juliette was born into the church, and has remained a member since she was a baby.

RICHARD ELFMAN OF OINGO BOINGO JOINED THE CoS:
Actor and Director Richard Elfman had son Bohdi Elfman with Rhonda Joy Saboff. Richard founded the music group Oingo Boingo. He has a brother Danny Elfman who is a music composer, but he is said to NOT be a CoS member.

Bohdi was born into the church, and became an actor. He married actress Jenna Elfman, who is very active in the church now.

ACTRESS ELISABETH MOSS (“Mad Men”) BORN INTO CHURCH:
Ron Moss, who is a musician and talent manager, had Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss with Linda J. Ekstrom who was a professional blues harmonica player.

It is unknown what level Elisabeth is at the church, but surely she’s a V.I.P. considering her parents paid their dues.

ACTOR JOHN TRAVOLTA AND WIFE KELLY PRESTON:
John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston are first generation CoS members. It is said that Preston is a very active member of the church. It is said that Travolta ‘still shows up for

WILL SMITH AND JADA PINKETT RUMORED TO BE IN CHURCH:
Ever since Will Smith donated a load of money to a Scientologist school, people are led to believe that he, along with wife Jada Pinkett, are members of the CoS. The two have been seen out with fellow Scientologists Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes numerous times- on double dates.

If the Smiths are Scientologists, then their kids Jayden and Willow would be too.

It is rumored that Jennifer Lopez left Marc Anthony because she did not want to convert to Scientology with Anthony.
