Frank Sinatra‘s son, Frank Sinatra Jr., has died, his family has announced. He was 72.
Sinatra Jr, who was also a singer, carried on with his famous dad’s legacy with his own music career.
The Sinatra family said in a statement to The Associated Press that Sinatra died unexpectedly Wednesday of cardiac arrest while on tour in Daytona Beach, Florida. Continue reading
Daniel Dion, singer Celine Dion‘s older brother, is reportedly in grave condition, with only hours left to live. The sad news comes one day after Celine lost her husband, Rene Angelil, to the same disease that is ravaging her brother.
Both men are the victims of throat cancer.
Daniel Dion, 59, has been fighting brain, tongue and throat cancer according to his other sister, Claudette. He’s surrounded by family, including their 89-year-old mother, but it’s so bad the family doesn’t think he’ll make it through another week. h/t tmz

Celine Dion took to social media to announce the sad news that her husband, Rene Angelil, has passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was 73.
Dion’s reps confirmed the report.

Natalie Cole, the daughter of iconic singer, Nat King Cole, has passed away. She was 65.
Cole, who followed in her famous father’s footsteps, died from congestive heart failure and complications from a kidney transplant and Hepatitis C. She died in a Los Angeles hospital.
Natalie had been very sick recently, cancelling several tour dates in late December including a New Year’s Eve concert at Disney Hall in L.A. She also cancelled an upcomingFebruary concert due to illness. Continue reading
It’s safe to say that Meek Mill is the undisputed loser in a war of words, (and schick,) that was spewed in an effort to discredit fellow rapper Drake. But now that the smoke has cleared and Drake has been declared victorious, what does the dismissal of facts say about us? The listening public? Maybe it says that most of us don’t care how a good song is made, we only care about consuming good music.
Meek and his cronies made a fairly good case against Drake, alleging the R.I.C.O. rapper uses “reference tracks” in the creation of his most popular songs, but in the end it fell on deaf ears because we the general public don’t give a hoot about the process, we just want a bumpin’ track we can put on blast.
If in-fact Drake did utilize reference tracks to craft some of his biggest hits, it would be nothing new to the creative process going way back to the fifties. Continue reading
Nancy Sinatra appeared for the first time at Peter Max’s Studio after recently undergoing successful knee replacement surgery.’
The “These Boots Were Made For Walking” singer was there for Max’s unveiling of a series of paintings of her father, Frank Sinatra, commemorating the crooner’s centennial.
When Nancy was asked if she still likes singing her 1966 hit, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin,’” she told a guest, “I think I’ve heard it enough.” Continue reading

He was 76.
