It’s celebrity crime week apparently. First we’ve got Roman Polanski getting arrested after years of evading arrest and now this. If only Spencer Pratt would get locked up for public indecency.
Roger Avary, co-writer of Pulp Fiction and the film adaptations of Beowulf and The Rules of Attraction, has been sentenced for a deadly 2008 DUI crash. The Oscar winner was sentenced to a year in jail followed by five years probation.
Avary was arrested in 2008 after crashing his car while driving 100 miles an hour. His wife was ejected from the car but not seriously hurt. Sadly, a passenger in another car was killed in the accident. Avary pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter.

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl and her husband, singer Josh Kelley have adopted a baby Korean girl, named Nancy Leigh. The child is named after the actress’ mother and sister. The child is 10 months old.
The couple, who married in 2007, have put up pictures of them with Nancy Leigh on Heigl’s animal adoption website, www.jasonheiglfoundation.org. I’ve got to admit, they loko pretty happy together.

The flyer created by Jessica Simpson
I feel pretty bad for Jessica Simpson here. Her poor dog, Daisy, was taken by a coyote Monday night. The singer is now desperately calling on friends and fans to help her find the missing pooch.
Simpson made the following post on Twitter Monday night: “My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!”
The following morning, Simpson posted the flyer above near her house. She is presumably still looking for Daisy, who may be anywhere in the hills of L.A.
I’ve got to say, things aren’t looking too good for little Daisy. Dogs rarely come back after being snatched by coyotes. I mean, you can’t really reason with a coyote and if they’re hungry… But maybe, just maybe, the wild animal is raising Daisy as its own, living off the fat of the land up in the hills above Los Angeles. Sure it’s unlikely but it’s possible. Right?

Chris Brown plans to participate in the Michael Jackson tribute right after he picks up some trash off the street, but before he reads to blind dogs with learning disabilities. In the past, Chris Brown has been vocal about his appreciation for the star and attributes much of his success to a sort of immitation of MJ. This event, packed with other moderately relevant musicians (i.e. Natalie Cole and Sister Sledge), will be held in Vienna, Austria. We just hope that they don’t make Chris Brown wear the little neon reflector vest to the concert. I don’t think Michael Jackson would approve of that fashion faux pas. As you remember, he had a very persnickety take on fashion that didn’t involve fluorescent yellow.

Tom DeLay, dancing sensation
Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay has been confirmed as one of the new cast members of Dancing with the Stars. DeLay was the House Majority Leader from 2003 to 2005. He resigned in 2006 for allegedly breaking campaign-finance laws. Throughout his career, the Republican was referred to as “The Hammer” because of his ability to…well, I guess hammer bills into laws? Whatever the reason, he was loathed by the opposition party.
I don’t get it. I guess DeLay is a celebrity (and alleged felon) but he doesn’t seem the dancing type. Also, he doesn’t even seem like the type to watch Dancing with the Stars. I guess ABC knows something I don’t. Maybe Tom can really cut a rug.
DeLay will be joined by Macy Gray, Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond and others. The show starts September 21.

I like Billy Joel, I really do. I think some of his older hits are classics. And I know the guy’s had a tough go with the drugs, drinking and ladies. So it bums me out to report that The Piano Man himself will be splitting from his third wife, 27-year-old Katie Lee. The two married back in 2004.
As we all know, Joel was once married to Christie Brinkley then to his manager, Elizabeth Weber Small. Joel has sold over 150 million records worldwide.

I am speechless right now. I actually was hoping he was not cheating on his wife because their TLC show is a huge hit. His 8 kids are going to be hurt by this. Connie Culp underwent a 22-hour procedure at the Cleveland Clinic in December to restore function to a face that was ravaged by a shotgun blast in 2004. The wound left her without a nose, lower eyelids, upper jaw, palate and other features, and she had been unable to breathe on her own, eat solid food, smell or smile. Ms. Culp had been unable to leave her home without being shunned by others and teased by children.

Victoria Principal is renewing her career by pulling a gun on her housemaid. What’s with these housemaids to the stars? They must be really greedy and mean because these celebrities do NOTHING wrong….right?

County Superior Court on Monday, housekeeper Maribel Banegas accuses Principal the of pointing a gun and threatening to kill her after the actress — who played Pamela Ewing on the ’80s primetime soap — terminated her employment for taking too long to walk the dog.
