Edward Snowden has some important tips for those interested in privacy, steer clear from Dropbox and Facebook..
Snowden, appearing in a recent interview for the New Yorker Festival, answered the burning question of questions, how do we keep our private things private? For one thing, he said you should “get rid of Dropbox,” because it doesn’t support encryption.
Snowden also suggested that while Facebook has improved their security, it remains a “dangerous service” that people should avoid.

The NSA, in cooperation with the British spy agency GCHQ, captured and kept millions of webcam captures from unsuspecting users, none of which were suspected of committing any crimes.
And a “substantial quantity” of the images were sexually explicit, according to the Guardian, via Gawker. One of the documents estimated that between 3% and 11% of the images gathered contained “undesirable nudity.” From the document:

The National Security Agency has been taking advantage of “leaky” smartphone apps, such as the wildly popular Angry Birds game, and other apps, to snoop on users’ private information across the internet, according to new Edward Snowden leaked docs.
The data pouring onto communication networks from the new generation of iPhone and Android apps ranges from phone model and screen size to personal details such as age, gender and location. Some apps, the documents state, can share users’ most sensitive information such as sexual orientation – and one app recorded in the material even sends specific sexual preferences such as whether or not the user may be a swinger.
