U OF Utah Star Utes RB Ty Jordan ID’d As Victim In Saturday Fatal Self-Shooting

SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Ty Jordan, a star University of Utah Utes football player, has been killed in a shooting Saturday.

Jordan, 19, died of gunshot injuries Saturday morning.

According to reports, Jordan accidentally shot himself early Saturday. Details of the shooting were not made available by officials.

Jordan was pronounced dead of gunshot wounds at the scene.

Authorities believe the shooting was accidental.

Head Coach Kyle Whittingham issued the following statement Saturday:

“Words cannot express the devastation and heartache that our team is feeling right now upon learning of the tragic death of our teammate and brother, Ty Jordan. Ty’s personality and smile were infectious and he made a huge impact on our program in the short time he was with us.” The Coach adds … “All of us in the Utah Football Family want to say we love you Ty and may you rest in peace.”

Jordan was the 2020 Pac-12 Offensive Freshman Player of the Year, after rushing for 597 yards and scoring 6 touchdowns.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.

NE Pair Gabrielle Ramirez Beau Dasher ID’d As Victims In Sunday Sarpy County Double-Fatal Crash

SARPY COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — Plattsmouth, Nebraska pair, Gabrielle Ramirez and Beau Dasher, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash in Sarpy County on Sunday, according to Monday reports.

Dasher, 20 and Ramirez, 19, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Liberty, Nebraska, around 1 p.m. Sunday.

According to reports, the crash involved a Chevy Silverado pickup and a Chrysler 200 traveling on Highway 75 near US-75.

Dasher and Ramirez were killed while traveling in the Chrysler.

Both vehicles had three occupants.

The Chrysler driver, identified as Joshua Martinez, 27, of Plattsmouth, was seriously injured, reports 1011.

In the Silverado Pickup, Christopher Peters, 20, the driver, and Bailey Clark, 21, both of Council Bluffs were seriously injured. A 1-year-old child was in a child restraint seat in the vehicle’s back seat and was not hurt.

All of the injured were transported to area hospitals.

The crash remains under investigation.

According to social media, Ramirez was originally from Salt Lake City. Dasher attended Plattsmouth High School.

U Of Utah Track Star Lauren McCluskey ID’d As Victim In Fatal On Campus Shooting

SALT LAKE CITY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Lauren McCluskey, a University of Utah track star, has been identified as the victim killed in the shooting on campus, according to authorities.

McCluskey was senior majoring in communication and was considered an outstanding athlete and student.

Baileigh Bagshaw ID’d As Utah Girl Brutally Murdered While On Phone With Mom Manhunt On For Suspect Shaun French

We are learning disturbing new details on the brutal murder of Salt Lake City teen, Baileigh Bagshaw, who was found dead Monday at a home located near the Jordan River, SLC.

Reports say, the 15-year-old girl was speaking with her mother on the phone when she was viciously attacked and killed. The manhunt is on for her suspected murderer, Shaun French, 24.

Bagshaw was “violently attacked” Monday at home near 1680 West & 500 North, SLC, say SLC police. French, 24, has been named as a person of interest in the case.

Brooke Mueller’s WILD RIDE: Charlie Sheen Ex Confronted In SLC For Child Endangerment

Brooke Mueller, famous for being the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, made news Wednesday while traveling in a black SUV with her 7-year-old sons after eyewitnesses called police over observing a disturbance between an unknown woman and two kids.

Witnesses to the incident, which took place at a Salt Lake City car wash, pulled over to confront the woman, who then went off on a tirade. At some point, the good samaritans’ recognised the woman to be Brooke Mueller. After a yelling match, the witnesses departed the location and reported the vehicle’s license plate to police.

Utah Lake Toxic Algae Bloom Sickens 130 Leaves Farmers Scrambling For Fresh Water

A massive Utah Lake toxic algae bloom, 150 square miles in size, has closed one of the largest freshwater lakes west of the Mississippi river. The antifreeze colored phenomenon has sickening more than 100 people who reported vomiting, diarrhea, headache and rashes after coming in contact with the affected waters.

Farmers, who depend on the lake for fresh water, have been left scrambling for new sources of the wet stuff during some the hottest days of the season.

Salt Lake City Mormon Missionaries Among Injured In Brussels Terror Attack

Three missionaries from Utah were seriously injured in the Brussels airport terrorist attack, Mormon church officials confirmed today. The group had just cleared an airport security checkpoint and were standing near a United Airlines’ ticket counter when the deadly blast took place.

The attack, which took the lives of at least 34 and injured nearly 200, left visiting missionaries, Richard Norby, 66, Joseph Empey, 20 and Mason Wells, 19, with serious injuries. Thankfully, they are expected to survive.

SLC Teen Shot By Cops Identified

The teenager shot several times by Salt Lake City police on Saturday night, while holding a broom stick, has been identified by family as Abdi Mohamed. He is 17.

Mohamed is in serious condition at a local SLC hospital. According to family, he is in a coma. He moved to Utah with his family from Kenya 10 years ago.

13-Year-Old Hailed As Hero After Saving Dad’s Life

Esteemed Salt Lake City defence attorney, David Finlayson, was badly injured while hiking with his young son deep in the Idaho wilderness last week.

Avid explorer and decorated boy scout, Charlie Finlayson, 13, literally helped save his dad’s life after a refrigerator-sized boulder became dislodged and struck the 52-year-old, causing him to tumble 20 to 30 feet down a steep ravine. David and his son were scouting a climbing route while camped at Ship Island Lake when the accident occurred.
