Justin Ross Harris has been found guilty on all counts in the death on his young son who he left in a hot car.
Harris, the father of a toddler who died after police say he was left in a hot car for about seven hours. A grand jury indicted Harris on multiple charges, including malice murder, felony murder and cruelty to children. The malice murder charge indicates that prosecutors believe that Harris intentionally left his son Cooper in the hot car to die.
Ross faces life in prison plus 40 years behind bars.
Yahoo Inc stinks.. After it has come to light the company secretly built a custom software program to search all of its customers’ incoming emails for specific information provided by U.S. intelligence officials last year.
According to people familiar with the matter, Yahoo agreed to conduct a classified U.S. government directive, scanning hundreds of millions of Yahoo Mail accounts for the NSA or FBI, said two former employees and a third person apprised of the events.
Some surveillance experts said this represents the first case to surface of a U.S. Internet company agreeing to a spy agency’s demand by searching all arriving messages, as opposed to examining stored messages or scanning a small number of accounts in real time. Continue reading

Surveillance video captured the men who made off with a bag containing explosive devices.
A wing of terror group ISIS claimed responsibility for a mass stabbing that left eight people hospitalized in Minnesota. The attacker, who was dressed in a private security uniform, made reference to “Allah,” victims and witnesses reported.
ISIS claimed the person who conducted the stabbing was a “soldier of the Islamic State,” according to a statement posted online Sunday.
The statement by the Amaq agency follows a pattern of ISIS-related media claiming responsibility for what appear to be the acts of individuals across Europe in the past few months. Continue reading
Interstate 15 is closed after the Blue Cut Fire ravaged the popular Las Vegas bound route. The blaze has shuttered the most direct route between Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but where there’s a will to party, there a way.
Fortunately, Interstate 15 is not the only way to get your Vegas fix, other less-traveled routes exist for motorists who absolutely have to get there. The following routes detail Nevada to California routes, however, if you’re traveling from So Cal to Vegas, simply reverse the route.
The route to take is dependent on the final destination. The most recent report from the California Department of Transportation is that I-15 is closed from Phelan Road in Hesperia to the freeway interchange of Interstate 215 in San Bernardino, a distance of about 18 miles. Continue reading
The son of the late D.C. mayor, Marion Barry, has died. He was 36.
Marion Christopher Barry passed away after an apparent drug overdose, according to his family. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead early Saturday morning.
No official cause of death has been announced but family members told NBC News 4 he took a fatal overdose. Continue reading
Authorities are on the scene after several people were injured at an incident at a refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff, three to four people are injured. The incident occurred at the Sunoco refinery on 2300 Twin City Highway.

Criminal Minds lead actor, Thomas Gibson, has been fired after an on-set altercation with a producer.
Gibson, 54, has played the fan-favorite Aaron Hotchner since the show’s inception, but now is suddenly seeking other employment after reportedly kicking a writer..

Shawn Lucas, the man who served Debbie Wasserman Schultz legal papers depicted on a Youtube video, (see video below,) has been found dead. His cause of death is unknown at this time.
Lucas served Schultz, the former chairperson of the Democrat National Committee who was forced to resign over leaked DNC emails, papers at the DNC headquarters in Washington D.C. in a class action lawsuit filed on behalf of Sen. Bernie Sanders supporters against the Democrat party.
In Clintonesque fashion, one of the men that served the papers in the class action lawsuit, Sanders supporter Shawn Lucas, was found dead this week by his girlfriend, according to Snopes. Lucas’ death follows a string of deaths surrounding the Democrats. Continue reading
The City of Fairfax mayor, Scott Silverthorne, has been arrested and accused of distributing meth in exchange for sex. The charges come following an undercover sting that targeted a website known for casual sex between consenting men.
Silverthorne, 50, was taken into custody Aug. 4 at a Crowne Plaza Hotel. Silverthorne is also substitute teacher who works with the Cub Scouts. Fairfax is known as an affluent Washington D.C. suburb. Silverthorne is in his third term as mayor.
