MADISON COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Corina Diehl, of Middletown, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night vehicle crash in Madison County.
“Nina” Diehl, 49, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Anderson on Saturday night.
According to reports, Diehl was operating a vehicle on Scatterfield Road near Purdue Parkway in Anderson, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 6:45 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into contact with a railroad crossing support arm before colliding with a Chrysler Pacifica.
Diehl was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the wreck.
The Chrysler Pacifica driver was not seriously injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
