WOODBURY COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Ashley Bond, of Omaha, Nebraska, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal vehicle crash in Woodbury County, Iowa.
Bond, whose age was not provided, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Salix, Iowa Tuesday evening.
According to reports, Bond was operating a vehicle on Interstate 29 near Mile Marker 132, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then rolled over.
Bond, who was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Curtis Cotton, a passenger in the vehicle, refused medical treatment at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
