HENRICO COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Robert Wayne Dalton, of Glen Allen, Virginia, has been identified as the pedestrian in a fatal Friday night vehicle strike in Henrico County.
Dalton, 35, was killed in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in Glen Allen Friday night.
According to reports, Dalton was on-foot near his Old Courtney Road home in the area of Staples Mill Road near Warren Road in Glen Allen, when he was struck by a passing passenger vehicle around 7:45 p.m. Friday.
Dalton was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
