CLAY COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Nathan Thompson, of Ada, Minnesota and Tamara Green, of Halstad, Minnesota, have been identified as the victims in a Wednesday double-fatal vehicle crash in Clay County.
Thompson, 45, and Green, 49, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Georgetown Wednesday night.
According to reports, Thompson was operating a pickup on Highway 75 near Georgetown, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 8 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then collided head-on with an SUV operated by Green.
A passenger in the SUV, 74-year-old Joann Johnson, of Nielsville, Minnesota, was transported to an area with unknown critical injuries.
Green and Thompson were both pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
