KNOX COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Leah Staton, of Fredericktown, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday vehicle crash in Knox County.
Staton, 17, was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Liberty Township Saturday night.
According to reports, Staton was operating a Chevrolet Impala on New Delaware Road near Tucker Road in Mt Vernon, when the vehicle came into contact with a Chrysler 300 around 6 p.m. Saturday. Staton’s vehicle then collided with a utility pole.
Staton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the Chrysler sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
