WOOD COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Smarszcz, of Custar, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday morning motorcycle crash in Wood County.
Smarszcz, 38, was killed in a single-motorcycle crash near Cygnet early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Smarszcz was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Grant Road and Cygnet Rd near North Baltimore, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The bike then flipped over before making contact with a substantial tree.
Smarszcz was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
