MARION COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Jesse Tollett, of Lacona, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday night single-vehicle crash in Marion County.
Tollett, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash that also injured one other individual Monday night near Washington.
According to reports, Tollett was operating a Chevy Cobalt Hwy G76 near IA-14 in Washington, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 9:40 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over multiple times.
Tollett was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Zachary Barnes, 24, also of Lacona, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
