MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Augustine Faith Fredericks, of Tolleson, Arizona, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash in Maricopa County Friday morning.
Fredericks, 20, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Phoenix on Friday morning.
According to officials, Fredericks was operating a Hyundai Sonata on North 19th Avenue near Bethany Home Road in Phoenix, when the vehicle failed to stop at a redlight. The vehicle then collided with a Chevrolet Cruze operated by a 37-year-old man around 9:30 Friday.
The driver of a Sonata, who has not been publiclly identified, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Fredericks was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
