The crash occurred shortly after 7:20 p.m. Sunday, May 10, near the intersection of Old Highway 40 and Kansas Falls Road in Geary County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle carrying two occupants was traveling westbound on Old Highway 40 while approaching Kansas Falls Road prior to the crash.
Investigators said the motorcycle rider failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the Harley-Davidson.
The motorcycle subsequently crashed, ejecting both the rider and passenger from the vehicle, authorities confirmed.

Authorities said the motorcycle operator, identified only as a 49-year-old man from Weatherford, Oklahoma, suffered serious injuries.
Emergency medical personnel transported the injured rider to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Kansas Highway Patrol stated neither Conrad nor the motorcycle operator was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
No additional vehicles were reported involved in the incident.
The crash occurred in Geary County near Junction City in northeastern Kansas, an area that includes a combination of rural roadways, rolling terrain, and highway connectors frequently traveled by local residents and motorists traveling near Fort Riley.
