Suspicious “Unordered” Package Prompts Evacuation In Sherman TX Neighborhood

Sherman Police are evacuating a neighborhood after a suspicious package was found in a neighborhood Tuesday morning.

Police said a woman who lives in the 1700 block of West Cypress Grove called police to report a suspicious package had arrived at her home that she had not ordered.

Sherman Police and Fire responded and agreed the package looked suspicious.

They have called in a bomb squad from Plano to respond.

Police say they are evacuating the area at this time as a precaution.

Sherman Police and Fire are asking people to stay away from the area at this time.
