Harry Brant, the son of billionaire Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, possessing narcotics, larceny and refusing to pay a taxi driver a $28 fare.
Brant, 20, was arrested in his hometown of Greenwich, Connecticut, on Thursday after he stiffed a cabbie, resisted arrest and possessing drugs, police said.
Authorities said Brant, who was not carrying an ID with him at the time of his arrest, also refused to identify himself until he was finally recognized by an officer. Continue reading
Former Miami Dolphins linebacker, Antonio Armstrong, was killed after being shot in a home invasion along with his wife in the Houston suburb of Bellaire. Armstrong’s wife, Dawn, was also killed in the attack.
Authorities say a 16-year-old boy has been charged in the double murder. The suspect, who was charged as a juvenile, was not identified because of his age.
Armstrong played four games in the NFL, in 1995 with the Dolphins in Don Shula’s final season as coach.
Jelani Maraj, the brother Nicki Minaj, has been offered a revised plea deal in his child rape case after DNA found on the alleged 12-year-old victim’s clothing matched his semen. Before the DNA evidence became available, Maraj was offered 7 years in prison, however, he declined to accept the deal. The new deal is now offering a minimum of 15 years.
A grand jury indicted Maraj in December on felony child rape charges, including predatory sexual assault against a child and first degree sexual conduct against a child. The accuser reportedly told authorities that Maraj repeatedly raped and sodomized her between April 1 and November 30, 2015.
Earlier this week, the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office told the judge: “A DNA profile, a partial profile matching the defendant or consistent with the defendant, your honor, to the point in the hundreds of billionths of chance of it being any other individual, was discovered in the pantsof the complainant in this case, and also tested positive indicating the presence of semen. Internet star and the youngest contestant to compete on Dancing With The Stars, Hayes Grier, has been badly injured in a car crash. His brother Nash made the heartbreaking announcement calling for #PrayForHayes.
Hayes, 16, is recovering in the hospital,” said his brother, who is 18 years old.

Mary J. Blige, best known for her hit song, Family Affair, is ending her marriage to her husband and manager, Martin “Kendu” Isaacs. Blige filed for divorce to end her 12 year marriage.
Blige married Isaacs back in 2003. Docs show Blige listed the date of separation as “to be determined,” while asking the judge to block Isaacs ability to get spousal support.

Jerry Doyle, actor and nationally syndicated right-libertarian radio show host, has passed away. He was 60. Hours before his death, Doyle was actively posting to his Facebook account. In one post he asked, “What’s Wrong With Bill Clinton?” while noting the former president’s noticeable tremors during his DNC appearance.
Doyle was perhaps best known for his role on science fiction series, “Babylon 5,” where he played Security Chief Michael Garibaldi. He was found unresponsive at his Las Vegas home Wednesday.

CNN host, Don Lemon, sort-of addressed the concern fans and coworkers have had over his recent dramatic weight loss.
While passing around a massive convenience store Philly pretzel to his panel covering the Democratic National Convention, Lemon said he had been “running a lot,” in his effort to explain his recent weight loss. Dozens of travelers are being evacuated from air trains running at Newark Liberty Airport on Wednesday night.
Reports say that at least five trains are currently stuck. The cause of the outage has not yet been released.

The email dump demonstrated DNC officials attempting to undermine Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign. The outrage from the leaks led to the resignation of DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

The families of singer Jenni Rivera‘s entourage, that were killed in her plane crash in December 2012, have been awarded a mega-settlement ordered to be paid by the involved private jet company.
A Los Angeles judge ruled Wednesday against Starwood Management, the company who owned the crashed Learjet, to the tune of $70 million. The payout was awarded to the loved ones of Jenni’s publicist, makeup artist, hairstylist and lawyer.
