ESPN: Pete Rose Lifetime Ban From Baseball Won’t Be Revoked

Pete Rose is baseball’s all-time leader in hits, but that won’t help him escape a lifetime ban from the game he loves. In 1989, MLB determined he bet on games while he helmed the Cincinnati Reds.

Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred reportedly won’t lift the lifetime ban for Rose, according to ESPN.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Winos?

Jolie-Pitt have gone into the wine business, and rose wines to be exact.

The Jolie-Pitt wine, The Miravel Rose 2012, hit the market and it sold out in 5 hours! A six-bottle case went for $139. They had about 6,000 bottles for sale and it’s all gone. The wine was made on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s French estate of Chateau Miraval and in conjunction with a well-known vintner, Marc Perrin.

Steven Adler: ‘I’ll never talk about Axl Rose ever again’

Rolling Stone magazine’s Andy Greene, snagged a great interview with former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler, just after his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a week ago.

Adler who was my former neighbor believe it or not, has really pulled himself back together since his heroin days, and is being very productive as of late.

Gilby Clarke, Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan, Slash and Steven Adler, pictured here, all showed up to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday in Cleveland, OH, to accept their honor of being apart of Guns N Roses at one time.

Not truly pictured here who should have been, is Axl Rose (falsely inserted in on far right in photo), who used to sing for the original Guns N’ Roses band, but then formed his own newer version of GnR. Myles Kennedy, who is not in the photo, sang at the concert last night, in place of Rose.

Both former GNR drummers Steven Adler and Matt Sorum both showed up, being cool to one another. Guitarist Gilby Clarke, who replaced GNR’s Izzy Stradlin on guitar back in the early 90’s, played in the concert last night with the guys as well.

When “Green Day” singer Billie Joe Armstrong delivered the GnR introduction speech, he insulted the audience when they were booing Axl Rose’s name. Armstrong said to the crowd, “Shut up. He was the greatest frontman to ever step in front of a microphone.” He paused, then added: “But he is … crazy. And I can vouch for that.”

Chris Rock was also hired to do some introductory speaking, and took a hilarious stab at Rose as well saying to the crowd, “A lot of people are disappointed that Axl Rose isn’t here, but let’s face it, even if he was going to be here, he still wouldn’t be here yet.” Rose is known for being late to shows.

The reformed band played songs “Mr. Brownstone”, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City”. Other inductee band “Red Hot Chili Peppers” also played later on the night around 1 a.m. Other inductees were Beastie Boys, Donovan, the Small Faces and Faces, and Laura Nyro.
