Marty Ingels, the character actor best known for his appearances on countless 1960s TV shows, has passed away. He was 79.
Ingels, who later became a talent agent and voiceover artist, was married to Partridge Family actress Shirley Jones for almost 40 years. He is said to have died Wednesday at Tarzana Medical Center following a massive stroke. He was 79.
Ingels notably played Rob Petrie’s Army buddy on “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” and had appearances on “Bewitched,” “The Ann Sothern Show” and “Pete and Gladys.” Continue reading

Tracy Morgan is one happy comedian again after settling his lawsuit with Walmart.
Morgan says he’s satisfied with the amount of money the corporation doled out after one of their truck drivers caused an accident that left him severely injured and his friend dead.
Tracy’s attorney and Walmart’s attorneys announced the settlement, but said terms of the deal would remain under wraps. Whatever they paid, Tracy’s happy with it … saying, “Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families.” He added, “I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably.” Continue reading
Tracy Morgan‘s lawyer says the comedian is fighting to recover from a severe brain injury suffered in a crash that took the life of his best friend.
Benedict Morelli said Morgan experienced a traumatic brain injury in the crash which occurred June 7 on the New Jersey Turnpike. The actor also suffered a broken leg, nose and ribs.
“He’s fighting to get better, and if there’s a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he’s going to try to do that,” Morelli said. Continue reading
Tracy Morgan has initiated a lawsuit against WalMart over over an accident that left him seriously injured and killed his friend.
The lawsuit claims Walmart was negligent when a driver of one of its tractor-trailers rammed into Morgan’s limousine van. The driver had admittedly gone a long period of time without sleep.
The complaint claims the retail giant should have known the driver had been awake for over 24 hours, and that his commute of 700 miles from his home in Georgia to work in Delaware was “unreasonable.” Continue reading
Tracy Morgan has been released from a NJ hospital and moved to a rehabilitation facility as he recovers from a serious auto accident, thegrio said Friday.
The identify the rehab facility where Morgan is staying was not released, a statement saying only that it is in New Jersey.

Kevin Roper, the Georgia truck driver charged in the accident that critically injured comedian Tracy Morgan and killed James McNair, had not slept in over 24 hours, according to officials..
Roper failed to see traffic slowing in front of him on the turnpike near Cranbury Township, slamming the limo bus carrying Morgan and several other comics and friends after a performance in Delaware, police said.
